Tranquil Walk

by Tracy Seekins

I took a peaceful walk today,
To clear my frazzled mind.
I strolled among the trees so tall,
And felt a sense of calm unwind.

The leaves they whispered softly,
Their secrets to the breeze.
The wind replied with quiet song,
Branches danced upon the trees.

As I walked further into the woods,
The tranquil scene put me at ease.
The birds were singing quietly,
Their perfect melodies.

Now to my day I must return,
But the memories remain
Of the peaceful walk I took today,
And the sense of calm I gained.
